Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Crop Technician to join our agricultural team, contributing to the successful cultivation and maintenance of crops . This role involves hands-on work in crop management, irrigation systems, and horticultural practices to ensure optimal plant health and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a robust work ethic, and mechanical aptitude. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop practical skills while supporting greenhouse operations.

Responsibilities

- Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and maintaining crops according to established schedules and protocols
- Operate and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure efficient water delivery across fields
- Use hand tools and basic mechanical knowledge to repair equipment and maintain farm infrastructure
- Monitor crop health regularly, identifying pests, diseases, or deficiencies, and report findings promptly




- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to soil preparation, planting materials, or harvest activities
- Follow safety guidelines diligently during all manual tasks and equipment operation

Qualifications: · Previous Greenhouse/Nursery Experience

· Understanding of insect and disease identifications

· Ability to calculate and count percentage of rooting

· Familiarity with nursery growing conditions and protocols

· Familiarity with tissue and soil testing procedures

· Must be able to lift 30 pounds

· Walk, bend and kneel unassisted

· Able to work extended hours and weekends on a rotational schedule

Pay: $21.60 per hour
