Cybersecurity and Network Security Administrator

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Security Administrator will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and continuously improving the organization's cybersecurity program. This role will work closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Networking, Business Systems, external Security Operations Centre (SOC) partners, and business leaders to identify risks, investigate security incidents, implement security controls, and support strategic cybersecurity initiatives. This position requires someone who is technically strong, highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and able to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership.

REQUIREMENTS

- Five or more years of progressive IT experience, including at least three years in cybersecurity, network security or infrastructure security.
- Hands-on experience administering enterprise firewalls, VPNs, segmentation and network security controls.
- Experience securing Microsoft 365, Entra ID or Azure environments.
- Experience investigating security alerts or incidents.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANs and identity security.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to produce technical documentation and practical remediation recommendations.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and modern Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles.
- Experience securing SaaS applications and cloud workloads.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management platforms and security assessment tools.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATION****S:

- Formal security policy development.
- DLP implementation.
- Microsoft purview and Fabric.
- AI security and governance.




- Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Experience implementing or supporting Information Protection or Data Governance solutions.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, Microsoft Security certifications, Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), or Palo Alto Networks certifications (PCNSA, PCNSE) are considered strong assets.

- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and maintain a customer-service mindset while supporting internal stakeholders.

COMPENSATION:

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
