We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Daycare Chef / Cook to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals and snacks that meet the dietary needs of young children. Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals and snacks tailored to children’s dietary requirements and preferences
- Ensure all food handling and preparation adhere to strict food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Serve meals in a timely manner, creating a welcoming and cheerful dining atmosphere for children
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and cooking equipment to promote a safe food environment
- Collaborate with staff to plan menus that incorporate nutritional guidelines and variety
- Manage inventory by monitoring supplies, ordering ingredients as needed,



and minimizing waste
- Follow all health regulations related to food service in a daycare setting, including proper storage and labeling of food items

Qualifications

- Valid FOODSAFE Level 1 Certificate .
- Previous experience preparing meals in a childcare center preferred.
- Knowledge of food allergies and special dietary requirements.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Positive attitude and passion for cooking for children.

Requirements
- Successful Criminal Record Check.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
