Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will support our dentists in providing efficient and comfortable dental treatments while ensuring a smooth patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and orthodontic treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict sterilization protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology when applicable.
- Manage patient records accurately using dental practice management software ClearDent
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, ensuring they understand their care plans.
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries as a dental receptionist when needed.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning properly for daily operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting with familiarity in orthodontics and pediatrics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with dental management software such as ClearDent and MaxAssist to streamline patient records and appointments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics procedures.
- Experience working with CAD technology for digital impressions or treatment planning is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols, sterilization procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members.
- Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting from an accredited program is required; additional experience in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
