Freelance Retoucher

Contract Length: 2 months + extension as project continues

Location: Remote

Hourly Budget: $30-$42/hr

Schedule: Initially close to full time, transitioning to part time / ad hoc as project needs decrease

About the Prospect

Our advertising agency client is looking for a talented Freelance Retoucher to support a fast paced creative production team on an upcoming project. This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled retoucher who can jump in quickly, manage a variety of creative assets, and deliver polished, production ready work.

The engagement is expected to be approximately 2 months , with the first few weeks requiring close to full time availability. As the project progresses, the workload is expected to transition to part time and ad hoc support based on project needs.

Responsibilities

- Retouch and enhance photography and creative assets for advertising and marketing campaigns
- Perform high end image manipulation, compositing, colour correction, cleanup, and image enhancement
- Ensure images meet brand, creative, and production standards
- Collaborate with designers, art directors, creative directors, and producers to execute creative concepts
- Work efficiently across multiple assets and meet tight production deadlines
- Maintain consistency across campaign imagery and creative deliverables




- Make revisions based on creative feedback and ensure final assets are production ready
- Prepare and organize final files according to project specifications

Qualifications

- 3+ years of professional retouching experience, ideally within an advertising, creative agency, or commercial production environment

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other relevant Adobe Creative Cloud applications

- Strong understanding of colour correction, image manipulation, compositing, masking, and image cleanup
- Strong eye for detail and a high standard for visual quality
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a deadline driven environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback efficiently
- Portfolio demonstrating strong commercial retouching and image manipulation skills

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a highly detail oriented retoucher who can hit the ground running , work independently, and seamlessly integrate into an agency environment. Experience working on advertising campaigns, branded content, lifestyle photography, or other commercial creative projects is highly preferred.

Please note: The first few weeks of the engagement will require near full time availability, with the role then shifting to a part time / ad hoc schedule as project needs evolve.
