As Director, Clinical Operations , you will play a critical leadership role in shaping health service delivery within Fort St. John Hospital and across Northern Health's integrated network of services. Working collaboratively with physician leaders, operational partners, and interdisciplinary teams, you will help ensure safe, effective, and innovative healthcare services for northern and rural populations.
About the Role
As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of assigned programs and services. You will provide strategic direction and operational leadership while ensuring services are grounded in evidence-based practice and centered around the needs of patients and families.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading diverse clinical teams and operational portfolios.
- Aligning organizational, team, and individual goals to achieve measurable results.
- Managing significant human, financial, and operational resources.
- Supporting service integration across hospitals, community services, primary care, and long-term care.
- Championing quality improvement, innovation, and patient-centered care.
- Advancing Fort St. John Hospital's role as a teaching hospital by supporting research, education,
and professional practice initiatives.
- Building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen healthcare delivery across Northern BC.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Health Services Administration or a related discipline.
- Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of progressive senior healthcare leadership experience with accountability for significant staffing and financial resources.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Compensation The salary range for this position is $118,923 (min) to $148,653 (midpoint) to $170,951 (max) per annum, based on 1.0 FTE.
