DoubleTree by Hilton Kingston and Home2 Suites by Hilton Kingston are seeking an experienced, energetic, and results-driven Dual Property Director of Operations to join our leadership team.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Operations serves as the second-in-command (2IC) for both properties and plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, exceptional guest experiences, solid team engagement, and achievement of financial goals.

This position is ideally suited for a hospitality professional with a proven track record of leadership within Hilton-branded hotels who understands the Hilton culture, service standards, commercial expectations, and ownership relationships that drive successful hotel operations.

Position Summary The Dual Property Director of Operations provides hands-on leadership and strategic oversight for the day-to-day operations of both hotels. Working closely with department leaders, the Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring departmental alignment, service excellence, financial performance, Hilton brand compliance, and overall hotel success.

As the General Manager's key operational partner, this role assumes leadership responsibility in the GM's absence and is expected to make business decisions that support both guest satisfaction and profitability.

Key ResponsibilitiesHotel Operations Leadership

- Serve as the operational leader and second-in-command for both hotels.
- Direct and support daily operations across all departments, including:
- Front Office
- Housekeeping
- Engineering & Maintenance
- Guest Services
- Ensure seamless coordination between departments.
- Monitor daily hotel performance and address operational challenges proactively.
- Lead daily stand-up meetings, operational reviews, and leadership meetings.
- Ensure consistent execution of Hilton brand standards and guest experience initiatives.
- Act as Manager on Duty as required.Guest Experience & Hilton Service Excellence
- Champion the Hilton guest experience culture throughout both hotels.
- Drive improvements in guest satisfaction,



loyalty participation, and online reputation scores.
- Review guest feedback, SALT scores, guest satisfaction surveys, social media reviews, and online reputation metrics.
- Resolve escalated guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure all departments consistently exceed Hilton service standards.
- Foster a service-first culture that creates memorable guest experiences.

Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop department leaders and team members.
- Build accountability and performance management practices across departments.
- Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning.
- Identify future leaders and support career development opportunities.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Support labour relations and workforce planning activities.

Financial Performance & Profitability
- Assist in preparing annual operating budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor departmental revenues and expenses.
- Drive profitability through cost controls and operational efficiencies.
- Review payroll, scheduling, labour productivity, and departmental expenses.
- Analyze financial statements, revenue reports, and operational metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins while maintaining exceptional guest service.
- Support achievement of GOP, EBITDA, and ownership objectives.

Commercial & Revenue Support
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management teams.
- Support the execution of revenue optimization strategies.
- Monitor occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, market share, and competitive positioning.
- Participate in weekly revenue meetings.
- Ensure operational readiness to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Support group business, events, and key market initiatives.

Hilton Brand Compliance
- Maintain strong knowledge of Hilton systems, programs, and standards.




- Ensure compliance with Hilton Quality Assurance and brand requirements.
- Lead property preparation for inspections, audits, and evaluations.
- Ensure completion of required Hilton training programs.
- Drive brand consistency across both hotels.

Safety, Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company standards.
- Maintain emergency response and crisis management procedures.
- Oversee workplace safety programs and training.
- Ensure security and risk mitigation practices are followed throughout both properties.
- Maintain compliance with licensing, regulatory, and insurance requirements.

Property & Asset Management
- Partner with Engineering and Maintenance teams to maintain property condition.
- Support capital planning and asset preservation initiatives.
- Conduct regular property inspections.
- Ensure guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and back-of-house spaces meet brand expectations.
- Assist with renovation and improvement projects as required.

Ownership & Stakeholder Relations
- Support communication between hotel leadership, ownership, and Hilton.
- Prepare operational reports and business updates.
- Participate in ownership meetings and presentations as required.
- Ensure alignment between operational execution and ownership objectives.

QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel leadership experience.
- Previous experience as:
- Director of Operations,
- Hotel Manager,
- Assistant General Manager,
- or comparable senior hotel leadership position.
- Previous Hilton hotel experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations across multiple departments.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and profitability.
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing management teams.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

Preferred
- Experience in a dual-property environment.
- Experience with Hilton systems and reporting tools.
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
