The Director, Retail Stores-Greater Toronto Area (GTA), is responsible for leading and optimizing the performance of all retail operations across the GTA region, encompassing two distinct retail banners, one positioned in the luxury segment and the other in the prestige segment.

Reporting to Senior National Director, Retail Operations, this role drives sales growth, profitability, operational excellence, and talent development while ensuring alignment with the Company’s strategic objectives, brand standards, and customer experience expectations. The Director Retail Stores, GTA Region fosters a high-performance culture, engages teams around the corporate vision, and champions initiatives that support sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

- Drive the achievement of regional sales, profitability, and key performance objectives while recognizing and leveraging the unique positioning of each banner.
- Develop, monitor, and manage regional sales, expense, and profit plans to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Contribute to the development and execution of short-, mid-, and long-term business strategies that support regional growth and market expansion.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives that enhance retail operations and the customer experience.
- Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and business performance to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and support informed decision-making.
- Lead regular business reviews and participate in company conference calls to address regional priorities, challenges, and growth opportunities.




- Provide timely updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership regarding regional performance, talent, and operational initiatives.
- Identify regional market needs and collaborate with Retail, Merchandising, Marketing, and other business partners to maximize business results.
- Ensure consistent execution of company policies, operational standards, visual presentation guidelines, and loss prevention practices.
- Communicate and support corporate programs, client engagement initiatives, special events, and promotional activities across the region.
- Establish, monitor, and review annual and monthly performance objectives for stores and leaders, implementing action plans where improvement is required.
- Coach, develop, and support Store Directors and management teams through regular feedback, performance evaluations, and succession planning.
- Lead the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention of retail management talent while building a strong pipeline of future leaders.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and service excellence across all stores within the region.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

- Achievement of regional sales and profitability targets.
- Gross margin and expense management against budget.
- Client experience and service excellence metrics (NPS, client satisfaction, mystery shop results).
- Store productivity indicators, including conversion rate, average transaction value, and units per transaction.
- Talent attraction, retention and employee engagement.
- Compliance with operational, visual merchandising, and loss prevention standards.
- Inventory productivity and shrinkage performance.
- Successful execution of corporate initiatives, promotions, and strategic projects.

EXPERIENCE

- 8 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience managing 2 distinct banners is a strong asset
- Experience in luxury and or Prestige is a strong asset
- Bachelor Degree in relevant area
- Excellent Communication Skills to present at Senior Level as well as motivating teams
