Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying finishing coats of plaster or drywall compound to interior walls and ceilings, ensuring smooth and flawless surfaces. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment.

Duties

- Apply joint compound or plaster to walls and ceilings using trowels, brushes, or spray equipment
- Tape joints and seams for drywall installation, ensuring a seamless finish
- Sand and smooth surfaces after application to prepare for painting or finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute projects
- Use caulking tools to seal gaps and joints for a clean finish
- Assist with other construction tasks such as carpentry or minor repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols throughout all tasks
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards





Qualifications

- Proven experience in construction painting, drywall taping, or related trades
- Knowledge of construction processes, blueprint reading, and caulking techniques
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various tasks
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable work ethic with good communication skills
- Prior experience working with carpentry or general construction is desirable
