Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a genuine love for working with children.

This role involves planning and implementing educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development while ensuring each child's individual needs are met. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to support diverse student populations.

The teacher will collaborate with families and staff to foster a positive educational experience that encourages growth, curiosity, and confidence.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning
- Monitor and assess each child's developmental progress and provide individualized support when needed
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress and classroom activities
- Incorporate special education strategies when working with children with disabilities or additional needs
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments,



and other administrative documentation
- Use computer skills for record-keeping, lesson planning, and communication with colleagues and families
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding classroom activities, managing behavior effectively, and supporting teamwork among staff
- Follow health and safety standards in accordance with licensing requirements and daycare policies
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with early childhood education best practices

Requirements
- ECE Certificate required
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in childcare or an educational setting
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification required
- Vulnerable Sector Check required
- Strong communication skills in English; French or bilingual ability is an asset
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development, and special education strategies
- Ability to work with children from diverse backgrounds and those with special needs
- Robust organizational and time-management skills
- Computer skills for documentation, lesson planning, and communication
- Leadership ability to manage classroom activities and guide children positively
- Good writing skills for reports and documentation

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.96-$30.00 per hour
