We are presently looking for individuals to join our Barrie team as an ELECTRICAL DRAFTER/DESIGNER.

The Drafter/Designer collaborates with engineers, project managers,



and others to produce detailed design documents and with the project before and throughout the construction phase. Using various industry software, they play a critical role in creating plans, drawings, and specifications ensuring all designs adhere to GEL design principles, client requirements, and any relevant codes and standards. They will perform various engineering calculations. Receiving direction from the Design Manager and/or the Engineer, the Drafter/Designer will utilize their design and communication skills to assist team in meeting project milestones. The Drafter/Designer will spend most of their time on their computer completing design work but will also perform site visits independently and/or with their team members.

Mandatory

Health & Safety training will be required for this role along with Security Clearances if deemed necessary by project. What qualifications would you need to be successful in this role? o*Post-secondary education in Engineering Technology o*0-3 years of experience in a drafting/designer role o*Experience working with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit o*Understanding of relevant industry codes and standards and municipal by-laws.
