Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive electrical cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, requirements, and constraints.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for electrical materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage bid preparation processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of proposals.




- Utilize project management skills to coordinate estimating activities across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, bid documentation, and correspondence for future reference.

Skills

- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is essential.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing agreements with vendors and subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry standards.
- Experience in project management to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and suppliers.
- Ability to analyze complex project data accurately and produce detailed cost reports.
- Construction experience that provides insight into practical application of estimates on job sites.
