DHI is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate various machinery — including front-end loaders and backhoes — for snow plowing and removal operations. This position includes monthly standby pay & hourly during the winter season.

Responsibilities

- Operate front-end loaders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment for snow plowing and removal
- Follow all company and safety protocols while operating equipment
- Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance to ensure equipment is in proper working condition
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals
- Adhere to project schedules and deadlines

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience operating front-end loaders and backhoes
- Must be available 24/7 during the winter season and able to work long hours during snow events
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of heavy equipment operations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or site plans
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Physical stamina and ability to work in all weather conditions




- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. A valid DZ driver’s license is preferred but not required.
- Clean Criminal record

Pay: $43.27-$45.00 per hour

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
- Front-end Wheel Loader: 5 years (required)

Language:
- English (required)

Licence/Certification:
- Class G Licence (required)
