Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Excavator Operator/Labourer to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as excavators, and backhoes to facilitate various construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

This position offers an exciting prospect to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills to make a tangible impact on infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

- Operate excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently across multiple construction sites
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks to support project timelines
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as Caterpillar machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Collaborate with team members to execute horizontal drilling and paving operations as needed
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to prevent accidents and injuries on site




- Support general labour duties including site cleanup, material movement, and assisting skilled trades as required

Requirements

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and backhoes in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in heavy vehicle operation
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment and attachments is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments for extended periods
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices
- Additional skills such as horizontal drilling or paving experience are considered a strong asset
