At Advanced Excavating Corp., we take pride in providing professional, friendly service and high-quality work that exceeds customer expectations. We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking, and reliable Operator with good knowledge of excavation equipment to join our team.

Operator will

· Have a solid understanding of excavation and equipment

· Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refuel equipment

· interpret site plans and grades.

· Follow safety protocols and procedures

· Assist other operators with tasks such as setting grades, layout

· Install conduit

· Assist with hand digging, raking, etc.

· Operate equipment such as skid steer, ride-on packer, trench packer, etc.

· On occasion, assist carpenters as needed

· Work physically all day

We are a fast-paced environment and require someone who will follow directions, pay attention to detail, and be able to meet deadlines. This role includes various tasks, including site clean –up, maintain tools, loading/unloading, digging and other site-specific tasks, as required. Keeping a qualified attitude is a must.

WHMIS, and any other training, is an asset.

Languages – English

Requirements





· Minimum 3 years of experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment, such as, loaders, and skid steers

· Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, locates, and set/check grades

· Safety-focused, with a solid understanding of job site hazards and safe operating practices

· Capable of working independently with minimal supervision

· Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

· Familiarity and safe use of power tools and equipment

· Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate well with others

· Conducting yourself in a professional manner with clients and co-workers

· Understanding the scope of work

· Physically able to perform the required duties

· Ability to work under pressure

· Follow health and safety policies and ensure a clean site is maintained.

Must have steel-toed safety boots and hard hat.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
