Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team! Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to ensure optimal patient oral health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with efficiency and professionalism.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Manage patient appointments efficiently, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care, including answering questions and providing post-treatment instructions.
- Book your own appointments chairside.
- Chart and treatment plan with the patient and dentist
- Promote whitening
- Educate patients on the importance of dental care
- Comfortable making calls and speaking to patients
- Strong understanding of dental equipment
Qualifications
- Valid license or certification as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience in dental hygiene practice within a busy dental office workplace.
- Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is a plus.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and patient care.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Prior experience in dental assisting or working within a multidisciplinary team is beneficial.
