Superior Coatings is a locally owned and operated paint and decorating centre proudly serving Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario. We specialize in premium paint and stain products, window coverings, wallpaper, and expert colour consultations for homeowners, designers, contractors, and commercial clients.

We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Sales & Design Associate to join our team full-time. This position is ideal for someone with a background in paint, home décor, interior design, home furnishings, flooring, window coverings, or another consultative sales environment.

Your Responsibilities As a Sales & Design Consultant, you will:

- Build strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, designers, and suppliers.
- Provide expert guidance on paint, stain, wallpaper, window coverings, and decorating products.
- Assist customers with colour selection and product recommendations for residential and commercial projects.
- Mix paint and stain, perform colour matching, and prepare customer orders accurately.
- Process sales and special orders through our point-of-sale system.
- Coordinate orders and follow up with customers to ensure an exceptional experience.
- Maintain an organized, professional showroom that inspires customers.
- Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and receiving shipments.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have:

- 3+ years of experience in retail sales, preferably in paint, home improvement, home décor, interior design, flooring, cabinetry,



window coverings, or home furnishings.
- A passion for colour, design, and helping customers create beautiful spaces.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Experience with colour matching, paint products, decorating products, or design consultations is considered a strong asset.
- Computer and point-of-sale experience.
- The ability to lift and move paint products as required.

Schedule This is a full-time position with a consistent daytime schedule. Our store is open Monday through Saturday, and we strive to accommodate our staff as best we can.

- Typical hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Some Saturday shifts are required on a rotating basis.
- When working a Saturday, you'll receive another weekday off, so you continue to enjoy a full-time schedule.
- While the schedule is generally consistent, we offer some flexibility to accommodate personal needs.
- No evening shifts.
- While this role is primarily intended as a full-time position, we recognize that exceptional candidates don't always fit a traditional schedule. If you're an experienced professional who is only available part-time, we'd still encourage you to apply. We're happy to explore a flexible schedule for the right person.
