Production Technician – Plastic Extrusion

Location: Victoria, BC

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Starting Wage: $21.00/hour

Growth Opportunity: Up to $25.00/hour based on performance and skill development.

Matter Industries is a growing Canadian manufacturer of premium 3D printing materials. We manufacture all of our filament in-house using modern plastic extrusion equipment and are looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined individual to join our production team.

No previous extrusion experience is required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training and are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor plastic extrusion equipment
- Perform quality inspections throughout production
- Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment
- Load raw materials and maintain continuous production
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Troubleshoot minor production issues
- Work with the production team to meet daily manufacturing goals

Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with machinery
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
- Comfortable standing and moving throughout the workday
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Forklift experience is an asset but not required





Compensation & Benefits
