Family Consultant (Full Time)

Aboriginal InfantFamily Development Program

($25/hr. - $30.00/hr.)

The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aboriginal InfantFamily Development Program (AIFDP) Consultant to join our Early Childhood Services team.

In this role, you'll support Indigenous children (birth to 6 years) and their families through culturally grounded, family-centred programming that promotes healthy child development, strengthens family wellness, and celebrates Indigenous culture and community.

Key Responsibilities

- Build trusting,



culturally safe relationships with children and families.
- Provide home visits, family support, advocacy, and referrals.
- Plan and deliver play-based, culturally relevant early learning programs.
- Promote healthy child development and positive parent-child relationships.
- Collaborate with Elders, community partners, and allied professionals.
- Support school readiness and family wellness.
- Maintain program records and participate in team planning and community outreach.

Qualifications

- Early Childhood Education Diploma or related post-secondary education.
- Knowledge of Early Childhood Development best practices.
- Child-Specific First Aid and Food Protected certificates.
- Clear Criminal Record Check.
- Class 4 Drivers License is an asset.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and a commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed practice.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and teamwork skills.
