Job Summary

We are seeking a agile and dedicated Farm Manager to lead the daily operations of a thriving agricultural enterprise. This role is vital in ensuring the effective management of farm activities, maintaining high standards of crop and production, and fostering a safe, productive environment. As a Farm Manager, you will oversee all aspects of farm operations, coordinate with team members, and implement sustainable practices to maximize yield and quality.

Duties

- Oversee daily farm activities including planting, harvesting, and equipment operation to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage farm machinery and equipment maintenance, ensuring all tools and heavy machinery are in optimal condition.
- Supervise farm staff, assign tasks, and provide training on proper use of hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and safety protocols.
- Implement irrigation schedules and monitor water usage to optimize crop growth and resource efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of crops, and infrastructure to identify issues early and coordinate necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities, inventory levels, crop yields, and equipment maintenance logs.




- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations to promote a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in farm management or agricultural operations with a strong understanding of horticulture principles.
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, heavy equipment operation, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory management, measurement conversions, and scheduling tasks.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely.
- Robust organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and task coordination.
- Excellent communication skills to lead a team effectively and collaborate with vendors or service providers.
