Field Service Engineer

Salary: $75,000 per year

Williams and White is a fast-growing technology company specializing in advanced CNC and robotic machinery used in the production and sharpening of cutting tools. Our equipment serves customers across a wide range of industries, including sawmills, furniture manufacturing, aerospace, oil and gas, and medical manufacturing.

As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys advanced technology, problem-solving, working directly with customers, and traveling throughout North America and beyond.

Our team has recently completed installations across Canada, the United States, Brazil, Australia, and Europe. If you are passionate about machinery, automation, and travel, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

- Install and commission purpose-built CNC and robotic tool sharpening machinery at customer facilities.
- Perform machine service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Train customers on the operation and basic maintenance of installed equipment.
- Provide exceptional on-site technical support and customer service.
- Work closely with experienced team members during training and installation projects.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Schedule

- Full-time position.
- Travel is typically expected every second week, however the frequency/duration may vary.
- During travel weeks, technicians may be required to work up to 12 hours per day with occasional travel/work requirements on weekends.
- Travel is primarily throughout the United States and Canada, with occasional international assignments.
- When not traveling, work is performed from our facility,



supporting machine preparation, design, testing, training, and other service and engineering related activities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electric/Mechatronic Engineering (mechatronic preferred).
- Experience with or familiarity with CNC programming.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of CNC machinery and machine installation.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience servicing CNC machine tools.
- Experience with industrial automation or robotics.
- Previous field service experience in a manufacturing environment.

Training Comprehensive training will be provided. You will work alongside experienced Field Service Engineers to gain an in-depth understanding of our equipment before independently performing installations and service work.
