We are seeking a dedicated and energetic First Aid Attendant to ensure the safety and well-being of all visitors, staff, and patients within our facility. In this vital role, you will provide immediate first aid response, assist with patient care needs, and support emergency procedures to maintain a safe environment. Your proactive approach and compassionate attitude will help us deliver exceptional care and reassurance to everyone on site.
Duties
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing first aid treatment and support as needed
- Assess the severity of injuries or illnesses and determine appropriate action or escalation
- Administer basic medications or treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, treatments provided, and patient interactions
- Assist with patient care activities, including mobility support and comfort measures
- Ensure all first aid supplies are stocked, organized,
and properly maintained
- Support safety drills, training sessions, and health & safety compliance efforts within the facility
Requirements
- Prior experience working in BCHYDRO substation with PSSP+ STC training is a must.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic first aid procedures
- Ability to administer medications safely following prescribed protocols
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting when necessary for patient movement or equipment handling
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to remain calm and focused during emergency situations
- must have a driving license and reliable vehicle.
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
