Metro Ford is now at our amazing new location at 5901 Weaselhead Road, Tsuutina: just South West of the Grey Eagle Casino in SW Calgary.

We are looking for a part – time Fleet & Commercial Lot Attendant to join our team at Metro Ford. The successful candidate is someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and eager to contribute to our growing dealership for between 25 – 30 hours per week. Generally, the hours will be Monday to Friday, with a very rare Saturday required.

As the job can be quite physical at times with the lot attendant walking up to 5kms on some days, and having to carry our booster packs, a base level of physical fitness would be an advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Keep fleet inventory organized and arranged in a neat and orderly fashion
- Keep all fleet vehicles clean and ready for display
- Start all vehicles, check for dead batteries, boost and recharge if needed
- Take fleet vehicle inventory pictures and upload
- (Winter months) Assist in keeping doorways shoveled, sanded and cleared
- (Winter months) Assist in ensuring fleet inventory vehicles are free of snow and ready to drive.
- Drive vehicles to offsite locations such as upfitters
- Retrieve / move sold units from the lot for the Fleet Team: plating
- Pick up and transport customers and fleet employees for business purposes
- Perform tasks as directed by Fleet Sales Manager that will assist in day to day operations




- Participate in vehicle sales transfers between dealerships (dealer trades) both in and outside the City of Calgary. From time to time, this may include full day trips and on rare occasions over night travel.
- This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management including collaboration with the New Car / Used Car Departments

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Ability to work cooperatively with other employees
- Ability to operate assigned equipment
- General handy skills
- Attention to detail and high-quality control standards
- Ability to work effectively against deadlines

Candidates that have prior experience working with Commercial Fleet units, including larger trucks and custom upfitted pieces, will be given preference. For liability reasons, only persons over the age of 18 will be considered.
