Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Flat Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining flat roofing systems on commercial and residential buildings. Your expertise will help ensure durable, weather-resistant roofs that stand the test of time. Duties

- Install new flat roofing systems using various materials such as membrane, asphalt, or rubber roofing products

- Repair and replace damaged sections of existing flat roofs to prevent leaks and structural issues

- Prepare roof surfaces by cleaning, scraping, and applying necessary primers or sealants

- Use hand tools like trowels, knives, and rollers to apply roofing materials accurately and efficiently

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise installation according to specifications

- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely to reach elevated work areas





- Conduct inspections of completed work to verify quality standards and adherence to safety protocols

Skills

- Proficiency with hand tools essential for roofing tasks such as cutting, fastening, and sealing

- Construction experience with a focus on roofing or related trades like carpentry or handyman work

- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams accurately for project execution

- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and seams effectively

- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions

- Familiarity with safety procedures related to working at heights and handling roofing materials

- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges during installation or repairs

Pay: $30.00-$48.00 per hour
