Responsibilities

- Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport freight over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and tarps to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle’s mechanical condition, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage,



and freight documentation in compliance with federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime

Experience

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating flatbed trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a commercial setting
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and securing loads on flatbeds
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations
- Experience in automotive repair or troubleshooting is a plus but not required
