We’re looking for a reliable, flexible individual to join our team as a part-time Floater Food Service Staff member. In this role, you’ll provide support at various secondary schools within the same district, helping serve nutritious meals to students and staff.
If you enjoy variety in your workday, can adapt quickly to recent environments, and want a consistent weekday schedule with weekends, holidays, and summers off, this could be the perfect fit!
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and serve food in different school cafeterias across the district
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment and handle cash
- Support teams where needed with a positive, professional attitude
What You Bring:
- Food service experience and valid Food Handler’s Certificate
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Comfort working in new settings and adapting to changing schedules
- Grade 12 diploma (or equivalent)
- A current police check with vulnerable sector screening
- Reliable transportation to travel between schools (required)
- Friendly, team-focused approach suitable for school communities
Position Details:
- Part-time, contract 4 days guaranteed/week, (10-30hrs/wk)
- Monday to Friday, following the school calendar
- Float across multiple locations within the district as needed
