Food Processing Equipment Cleaner (NOC: 95106)

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Shift: Evening Shift (5 PM till 1:40 AM)***

Food Processing Equipment Cleaner cleans the production and processing areas as per the procedures and guidelines of Atlantic Beef Products and CFIA regulations and guidelines. Participates in the pre-operation inspection.

Job Responsibilities:

- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
- Wash surfaces, interior walls and ceilings
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers
- Sweep, mop, scrub and wax production lines and areas
- Clean and disinfect production areas, equipment, and fixtures
- May move heavy equipment and supplies
- Uses chemicals and other substances for cleaning
- Required to wear personal protective equipment
- Complete and document sanitation paperwork
- Other duties as assigned





Requirements:

- Completion of secondary school
- Previous industrial cleaning experience is an asset
- Ability to work under pressure
- Safety oriented
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain speed while performing task
- Willing to work in a physically demanding job by performing repetitive tasks
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs
- Legally eligible to work in Canada or willing to attain work authorization in Canada
- Willing to work overtime or weekends if required.

Work Conditions Our workplace is a meat processing facility that is an environment of multi-temperatures and varying levels of humidity. We convert live cattle into Federally Inspected beef products. As per the conditions of employment, this position may require you to work in all areas of the plant including the slaughter processing area.
