Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Forklift Driver to join our team at Meadowpine on the day shift (7:00am – 4:30pm). In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to transport materials throughout the facility, supporting production, shipping, and receiving operations. This role ensures the timely movement of materials, maintains inventory accuracy, and promotes a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Here’s what you’ll deliver:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport raw materials, finished products, and supplies throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Move materials to production lines to ensure continuous manufacturing operations.
- Transport finished products from production areas to designated storage locations.
- Stack, store, and organize materials in warehouse and production areas while maximizing storage space.
- Verify material quantities, part numbers, and shipping documentation before transporting or loading materials.
- Supply production departments with materials, components, and packaging as required.
- Remove scrap, waste materials, and empty containers from shipping/receiving.
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Complete forklift inspection checklists and maintenance reports as required.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including secure forklift operating practices and pedestrian awareness.
- Comply with Company policies, procedures, and applicable health and safety legislation.
- Maintain accurate inventory by scanning materials or recording inventory movements using the Company's inventory management system.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory counts as required.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and protected from damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Work closely with Production, Shipping, Receiving, and Quality departments to support operational requirements.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including packaging, wrapping, and preparing shipments.
- Report damaged materials, inventory discrepancies, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and operate equipment safely at all times.
- Perform other warehouse, material handling, or production support duties as assigned.

This compensation range will be based on knowledge and experience Compensation: $22.00 - CA$26.00 per hour
