Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fruit Cutter to join our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh fruits with precision and care, ensuring all produce is cut, portioned, and presented to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, safety, and culinary preparation within a quick-paced setting.

Duties

- Carefully wash, peel, slice, dice, and portion a variety of fresh fruits according to established standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling fruit platters or salads for service
- Ensure proper storage of fruits to preserve freshness and prevent cross-contamination
- Follow all safety procedures during food handling and knife use to minimize risks
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently preparing ingredients for meal assembly




- Monitor inventory levels of fruits and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing

Requirements

- Prior experience in food handling, food service, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Knowledge of proper food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle knives and cutting tools safely and accurately
- Experience with serving or preparing meals in a restaurant or food industry setting is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new techniques
