Diamond Valley Gas Co-op Ltd. is a member-owned natural gas utility dedicated to providing safe, dependable, and affordable energy services to the communities we serve. We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our operations team as a Gas Utility Operator or Gas Fitter Apprentice.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in developing a long-term career in the utility industry. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training while assisting with the construction, operation, inspection, and maintenance of our natural gas distribution system.

What You'll Do

· Assisting with the installation and maintenance of natural gas services and distribution infrastructure.

· Performing physically demanding outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions.

· Operating and maintaining equipment used in installing gas services.

· Locating and identifying underground utilities before excavation activities.

· Supporting the operation, inspection, and maintenance of regulator and meter stations.

· Installing, removing, and replacing gas meters as required.

· Maintaining accurate records and completing operational documentation.

· Participating in an after-hours on-call rotation following successful completion of training.

· Carrying out additional responsibilities as required to support utility operations.

· A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.

· A valid Class 5 Driver's License.

The following qualifications would be considered assets:

· Experience in construction, utilities, oil and gas, or related industries.

· Equipment operating.

· Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
