General Construction Supervisor

Leverage Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced General Construction Supervisor to join our team in Squamish, BC. We specialize in civil construction, underground utilities, excavation, and heavy equipment operations throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor and Greater Vancouver.

The successful candidate will supervise field crews, coordinate daily construction activities, maintain a safe and productive work environment, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Experience in underground utilities, excavation, pipe installation, and heavy civil construction is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily construction operations and field crews on civil construction and underground utility projects.
- Coordinate and schedule work activities to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Supervise workers and oversee multiple projects while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Train recent employees and arrange additional training where required.
- Ensure all WorkSafeBC requirements, company safety policies, and industry regulations are followed.
- Lead daily safety meetings, hazard assessments (FLHA/JHA), and safe work procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, grades, and utility plans.
- Coordinate work with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and other supervisors.
- Resolve worksite issues and recommend measures to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Prepare production reports, daily site documentation, and progress updates.




- Requisition materials, tools, and equipment required for projects.
- Assist with recruiting, mentoring, and developing field personnel.
- Operate GNSS survey equipment and CAD-based layout systems when required.
- Oversee excavation activities, shoring operations, and the safe installation of underground utilities.
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary to support construction activities.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in construction supervision or a related leadership role.
- Experience in heavy civil construction, excavation, underground utilities, and pipeline installation.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and project schedules.
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and ground disturbance requirements.
- Experience with GNSS survey equipment and CAD software is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding work when required.

Pay: $41.00-$48.00 per hour
