Duties

- Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and equipment
- Operate farm machinery such as tractors, tillers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on farm machinery, irrigation systems, and tools to ensure optimal operation
- Use hand tools for planting, pruning, weeding, and general farm upkeep
- Support irrigation activities by setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting watering systems to ensure proper crop hydration
- Handle heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies, equipment, or harvested produce safely




- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, storage facilities, and equipment sheds

Skills

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on farm machinery and equipment
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance to optimize water use for crops
- Knowledge of horticulture principles to support healthy plant growth and crop production
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tractors and loaders with safety awareness
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for various maintenance tasks
- Basic math skills for measuring inputs, calculating quantities, or recording data accurately
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and stamina for extended periods of outdoor work
