Overview

We are seeking experienced, dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as General Laborers/ Helpers. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support our operations and contribute to the successful completion of projects. This position requires dependability, physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.

Duties

As a Laborer, your responsibilities will include:

- Reliable, regular attendance of scheduled shifts is required.
- Assisting in the preparation and cleanup of job sites
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Operating basic hand tools and power tools as needed
- Following instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and organized work setting
- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Collaborating with team members to ensure project deadlines are met

Experience A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in commercial construction is required.

- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent communication skills (English) and the ability to work well in a team setting.
- Basic knowledge of safety practices in a labor environment is a plus

Other requirements

- The position may require your involvement at different project sites (typically but not always in the Edmonton area). You will need to provide your own transportation to and from these sites.
- Preference will be given to individuals with their own tools and those with some carpentry and/ or wood working experience.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
