Successful candidates will be hired as General Laborers and, based on performance, attendance, leadership ability, and operational knowledge, may be promoted to the role of Lead Hand (Backup).

General Labor Responsibilities

- Support daily production operations on the IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) line.
- Package, inspect, and handle food products while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production areas.
- Follow all food safety, HACCP, SQF, GMP, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with material handling and production setup as required.
- Work collaboratively with production, warehouse, and quality teams.

Career Advancement Opportunity – Lead Hand (Backup) Employees who consistently demonstrate strong performance and leadership potential may be promoted to Lead Hand (Backup).

As a Lead Hand (Backup), you will:

- Lead and support the production team to achieve daily production goals.




- Ensure efficient startup and operation of production lines.
- Coordinate production flow and resolve operational issues.
- Oversee shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities.
- Ensure FIFO inventory practices are followed.
- Maintain compliance with HACCP, SQF, and all food safety requirements.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
- Train, coach, and support team members.
- Promote continuous improvement, teamwork, and workplace safety.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset (IQF experience preferred).
- Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and reliability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Leadership potential and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Forklift experience or certification is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

- Full-time position.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments.
- Ability to lift, stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

Additional Requirement

- Applicants must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents (PR). Candidates who require employer sponsorship or hold temporary work permits are not eligible for this position.
