The Opportunity

This internship is designed for a college/university student (for internship credit) or emerging creative seeking to build a career in graphic design within the world of magazine publishing. You will gain hands-on, real-world experience while working closely with the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, contributing directly to the visual identity of Spencer.

Key Responsibilities 1. Editorial Design & Layout





- Contribute to the visual layout and design of Spencer Magazine
- Work with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Assist in selecting colour palettes, typography, and visual direction
- Design layouts for editorial features, advertisements, and branded content
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions

2. Communication & Collaboration

- Collaborate effectively with the Publisher, Editor-in-Chief, and creative team
- Communicate ideas clearly and professionally

3. Organization & Execution

- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines with efficiency
- Maintain robust attention to detail across all deliverables

Qualifications

- Working towards a degree (credit for internship requirements) in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Communications, or related field
- Equivalent practical experience will also be considered
