Part-time freelance → Full-time permanent position

Gancz Creations is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our growing creative studio.

This is an opportunity for a junior-to-intermediate designer who enjoys the variety and independence of freelance work, but is looking for more stability, mentorship and room to grow.

The role will begin part-time on a freelance basis (approximately 20 hours/week) through the end of 2026 , with the intention of transitioning into a permanent 35-hour/week employee position in January 2027 .

About Gancz Creations

Gancz Creations is a Montreal-based creative studio specializing in branding, web design, publications and digital communications. We work across a variety of sectors, with a strong focus on organizations and projects creating positive social impact.

As part of a small and growing studio, you'll work directly with the Creative Director, contribute meaningfully to client projects and gain experience across a wide range of design disciplines. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with the studio, take increasing ownership of projects and eventually have opportunities to manage client relationships and mentor other designers.

What you'll work on

- Website design and development using visual page builders
- Digital campaigns and social media content
- Annual reports, impact reports and other publications
- Brochures, marketing materials and print collateral
- Presentations and campaign design
- Creating and adapting visual systems across platforms
- Preparing bilingual English/French materials
- Supporting ongoing client brands and campaigns
- Gradually communicating and working directly with clients

What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of professional graphic design experience
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree in graphic design or a related field
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellent layout, typography and visual design skills
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud , particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Comfortable working in English and French — perfect bilingualism isn't required, but you should be comfortable with basic conversations and bilingual layouts
- Experience designing for both digital and print
- Reliable, organized, proactive and receptive to feedback
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote setting
- Based in Quebec , ideally within the Greater Montreal area
- Comfortable with occasional client meetings, events and short work-related travel

Great assets to have Experience with Wix Studio, WordPress, Shopify or other page builders, HTML/CSS, illustration, motion design/animation, accessible design, client communication or freelance project management are all great assets.

You don't need to check every box — we're interested in finding someone with a strong foundation who is excited to learn and grow.

Compensation & schedule

August–December 2026:



Approximately 20 hours/week freelance at $30–$35/hour , depending on experience.

Beginning January 2027: Permanent employee position, 35 hours/week at $55,000–$60,000/year , depending on experience.

The position is fully remote with flexible working hours . The permanent position includes 3 weeks of paid vacation .

Occasional in-person meetings, client events and short project-related travel may be required, including within Quebec and occasionally elsewhere in Canada or the United States.

Créations Gancz est à la recherche d'un·e designer graphique talentueux·se pour se joindre à notre studio créatif en pleine croissance.

Cette occasion s'adresse à un·e designer de niveau junior à intermédiaire qui apprécie la variété et l'autonomie du travail à la pige, mais qui recherche davantage de la stabilité, du mentorat et des possibilités d'évolution.

Le poste débutera à temps partiel à la pige (environ 20 heures/semaine) jusqu'à la fin de 2026 , avec l'intention de faire la transition vers un poste permanent de 35 heures/semaine dès janvier 2027 .

Créations Gancz est un studio créatif montréalais spécialisé en image de marque, conception Web, publications et communications numériques. Nous travaillons dans différents secteurs, avec un intérêt particulier pour les organisations et projets qui génèrent un impact social positif.

Au sein d'un petit studio en croissance, vous travaillerez directement avec la directrice créative, contribuerez concrètement aux projets clients et développerez vos compétences dans plusieurs disciplines du design. Nous cherchons quelqu'un qui souhaite évoluer avec le studio, prendre progressivement en charge des projets et éventuellement gérer des relations clients et accompagner d'autres designers.

- Présentations et matériel de campagne
- Création et adaptation d'univers visuels sur différentes plateformes
- Mise en page de contenu bilingue français/anglais
- Soutien continu de marques et campagnes clients
- Communication et collaboration progressive directement avec les clients

Ce que nous recherchons
- Minimum de 2 ans d'expérience professionnelle en design graphique
- Formation postsecondaire en design graphique ou dans un domaine connexe
- Portfolio solide démontrant d'excellentes compétences en mise en page, typographie et conception visuelle
- Excellente maîtrise d' Adobe Creative Cloud , particulièrement InDesign, Illustrator et Photoshop
- À l'aise de travailler en français et en anglais — un bilinguisme parfait n'est pas nécessaire, mais vous devez être à l'aise avec des conversations de base et la mise en page bilingue
- Expérience en conception numérique et imprimée
- Fiabilité, organisation, proactivité et ouverture à la rétroaction
- Capacité à gérer plusieurs projets et échéanciers en télétravail
- Résider au Québec , idéalement dans la grande région de Montréal
- Être à l'aise avec des rencontres, événements clients et courts déplacements professionnels occasionnels

Atouts Une expérience avec Wix Studio, WordPress, Shopify ou d'autres outils de création Web, HTML/CSS, l'illustration, le motion design/animation, le design accessible, les relations clients ou la gestion de projets à la pige constitue un atout.

Vous n'avez pas besoin de cocher toutes les cases — nous cherchons avant tout une personne avec de bonnes bases qui souhaite apprendre et évoluer.

Rémunération et horaire

Août à décembre 2026 : Environ 20 heures/semaine à la pige à 30 $–35 $/heure , selon l'expérience.

À compter de janvier 2027 : Poste permanent de 35 heures/semaine à 55 000 $–60 000 $/année , selon l'expérience.

Le poste est 100 % en télétravail avec un horaire flexible . Le poste permanent comprend 3 semaines de vacances payées .

Des rencontres en personne, événements clients et courts déplacements professionnels peuvent être requis occasionnellement, au Québec et parfois ailleurs au Canada ou aux États-Unis.
