The Grounds Crew is responsible for the general maintenance of the golf course, exterior surrounding areas of the property and machine maintenance as needed. Grounds Crew Team Members work as part of the Golf & Property Operations team in preparing the golf course for daily use and scheduled tournaments/events, ensuring the best possible conditions for all.
Job Functions:
- Perform daily course maintenance duties including mowing greens, tees, fairways, and rough
- Operate and maintain turf equipment safely and efficiently
- Repair divots, empty garbages, fill ball washers. (Tee Service)
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental best practices
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to improve and maintain expectations of SMGCC.
Requirements:
- Completion or expected completion of high school education.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Physically able to complete a wide variety of tasks including lifting, standing, bending etc.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- Able to work early mornings (starting at 5:00 a.m.)
- Responsible for self-initiated activities.
- Punctual and available for varied hours of work.
Measured Against:
- Timeliness in completion of tasks.
- Guest feedback/reviews.
