Position Summary

Futurescape Landscaping is seeking a dependable, motivated, and safety-focused Grounds Maintenance Operator to join our team at Cambrian College.

Working on one of Greater Sudbury's largest campuses, you'll play an important role in maintaining safe, clean, and attractive outdoor spaces throughout the year. This position includes both summer grounds maintenance and winter snow removal, offering year-round, varied work in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Summer Operations

- Perform lawn maintenance, trimming, edging, and site clean-up.
- Operate heavy equipment and small machinery.
- Assist with landscape/hardcape improvements, repairs, and seasonal projects.
- Maintain walkways, gardens, parking lots, and common areas.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain a clean, protected, and professional work environment.

Winter Operations

- Operate loaders, tractors, skid steers, plows, snow blowers, and other snow removal equipment.
- Clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, and accessible routes.
- Apply salt and ice control materials as required.
- Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections.
- Respond to changing weather conditions and snow events as required.

Qualifications

- 5-10 years experience operating heavy equipment is required.
- Experience with commercial snow removal is an asset.
- Ability to work safely in all weather conditions.
- Ability to mentor young workers.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual,



and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Class G Driver's Licence with reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work.

Pay: $19.00-$30.00 per hour
