Role Description The Guest Experience Guide is a full-time, on-site role based in Surrey, BC, focused on delivering an outstanding and memorable experience to every guest. In this role, the Guide welcomes guests, explains the VR experience, assists with check-in, and manages reservations and group flow. The Guide helps guests with VR equipment fitting and basic troubleshooting, ensures safe and smooth operations in the play areas, and resets rooms between sessions.
Day-to-day responsibilities include answering questions, providing friendly support, processing payments, promoting experiences and add-ons, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
The Guide collaborates closely with teammates and follows company procedures to ensure high service standards and operational efficiency.
Qualifications Customer service and guest relations skills, with the ability to provide friendly, clear, and patient support to a diverse range of visitors.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including confident verbal communication and active listening in a fast-paced workplace.
Basic technical aptitude and comfort with VR or gaming technology, point-of-sale systems, and troubleshooting simple equipment issues.
Organizational and multitasking abilities to manage bookings, session timing, room resets, and cleanliness while maintaining attention to detail.
Teamwork and reliability, including willingness to assist colleagues, follow safety and operational procedures, and work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
Previous experience in hospitality, retail, entertainment, or theme park environments is beneficial.
Ability to stand for extended periods, move equipment safely, and support guests of varying ages and abilities.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in customer service or hospitality is an asset.
