Role Description The Health and Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Saskatchewan, Canada. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs that comply with relevant legislation and company policies.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations, and ensuring corrective actions are completed. The Health and Safety Manager will deliver safety training, support supervisors and crews with safe work procedures,
and promote a strong safety culture across all projects. The role also involves maintaining documentation, reporting safety performance, and collaborating with management to continuously improve health, safety, and environmental practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to design and manage comprehensive safety programs.
- Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and incident investigation.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver effective Safety Training to diverse teams and reinforce safe work practices on job sites.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent Canadian health and safety credentials.
- Knowledge of Canadian construction safety regulations and standards, particularly in concrete and industrial environments.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence behavior and build a safety-first culture.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, including experience with safety reporting and audit processes.
- Previous experience in construction or industrial sectors (e.g., commercial, mining, energy, agricultural) is an asset.
