We are searching for a Health Services Manager to join our Parkland on the River - Bridgeview Hall team based in Miramichi , New Brunswick.

About The Opportunity

- Plans, coordinates, administers and evaluates resident care services related to allied health, recreation & wellness activities and provides clinical expertise




- Provides leadership and oversight to all departmental activities to ensure compliance to policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
- Oversees the recruitment, training, and orientation of new team members
- Monitors and manages performance and provides coaching
- Ensures that the team adheres to Standards of Nursing Practice, Code of Ethics, Registered Nurses Act and Regulations as defined by provincial legislation
- Organizes continuous quality improvement, risk management and quality assurance activities
- Encourages and promotes relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Is responsible to reinforce best clinical practice to ensure optimal Key Performance Indicator results
- Is very familiar with the required standards of DSD Nursing Homes and ensures that practice is in line with the standards
- Participates on the Admission review committee monthly. Ensures that there are always admissions ready to be admitted within 48 hours of notice
- Participates on the Professional Advisory Committee
- Must participate in an on-call schedule with team members to ensure 24/7 management coverage.
- Is visible to families, residents and staff to develop a trusting relationship
- Leads and supports the team to ensure a resident focused approach to care and individualized approaches
- Additional related duties as assigned/required

About You In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

- A Bachelor of Nursing, or equivalent, and are currently registered with the provincial association.
- Minimum seven (7) years’ nursing experience which includes five years’ clinical and two years’ management experience or equivalent




- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment
- Ability to effectively plan, direct and coordinate resident care services with the needs of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and performance manage others
- Consistently demonstrates excellence in customer service to all stakeholders
- Ability to effectively plan, direct and coordinate resident care services with the needs of the organization
- Ability to utilize and manage resources to attain results while keeping within budget
- Ability to lead, coach and performance manage others
- Proficiency in personal computers and related software applications including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports
- Experience working within a Long-Term Care environment is considered an asset.
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
