TwinCon Enterprises Ltd. is an established civil construction company specializing in earthworks, excavation, rock breaking, drilling and blasting, underground utilities, and subdivision development throughout British Columbia.

We are currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team for a quarry project in McBride, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator who has experience working in quarry or rock environments and is committed to safe, productive, and precise equipment operation.

The successful candidate will be a dependable team player who can work independently, communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members, and contribute to the successful completion of the project.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Excavator Operator will safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment in a quarry environment. The successful candidate will have experience working around rock, aggregate, and blasting operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, production, and equipment care.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate excavators in a quarry setting.
- Load and move rock and aggregate materials.
- Perform excavation, stockpiling, benching, scaling, and material handling as directed.
- Work safely around rock breaking and blasting operations.
- Read and follow grade stakes, project plans, and supervisor direction.
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and perform routine equipment maintenance checks.
- Identify and report equipment defects or maintenance concerns.
- Maintain safe operating practices while working around other equipment and personnel.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members to maintain production goals.




- Complete daily equipment and production records as required.
- Assist with other project duties when required.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators in civil construction, quarry, mining, or aggregate operations.
- Previous quarry or rock excavation experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working around blasting operations is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of safe excavation and heavy equipment operating practices.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
- Ability to work extended hours when required.
