Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in a vibrant learning environment. This paid position offers the prospect to support diverse learners, and foster a love for science through innovative teaching methods. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a passion for nurturing young minds.

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging science lessons aligned with curriculum standards for high school students
- Provide tutoring support to students struggling with scientific concepts, in Chemistry, Physics and Biology (in one or all these subjects)
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop inclusive lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles

Requirements

- Strong knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and build positive relationships with students.
- A genuine passion for teaching and helping students achieve their academic goals.
- Experience working with high school students is considered a strong asset.
- An Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certificate, or being in the process of obtaining one, is preferred.
- We also welcome applications from university students currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or Business with strong subject knowledge and a passion for education.

This is a part time position starting with two to four shifts per week. Flexible shifts are available. Our instructional hours are 4pm- 8pm on weekdays, and 10am-1pm on Saturdays.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
