ABOUT The June Motel is a boutique motel brand with three locations in Prince Edward County, Sauble Beach, and Beaver Valley that was featured on the Netflix TV series Motel Makeover.

REPORTING TO In this role, you’ll report directly to the General Manager of The June Motel in Prince Edward County.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Boutique hotels don't run on job titles—they run on people who care enough to do whatever needs to be done.

At The June Motel, every guest experience is built by a team that isn't afraid to jump in. One hour you might be making beds and folding laundry. The next you're checking in guests, sharing your favourite local recommendations, serving drinks on the patio, or stepping in where needed to help keep the hotel running smoothly.

We're looking for someone who wants to experience every side of boutique hospitality—not just one department.

Whether you're a recent hospitality graduate, have experience in hotels or restaurants, or dream of one day becoming a General Manager or owning your own hotel, this residency offers a front-row seat to what it really takes to operate an award-winning boutique hotel.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Participating in housekeeping and laundry operations
- Welcoming and assisting guests during check-in, check-out, and concierge service
- Providing food and beverage services, including serving drinks in the indoor-outdoor Lobby Bar on the patio and preparing and serving breakfast or light snacks




- Maintaining property presentation, common areas, and minor property maintenance
- Sharing curated local recommendations and offering personalized touches to create unforgettable guest experiences
- Filling in where needed across all departments to support the team and maintain smooth hotel operations
- Troubleshooting guest inquiries and delivering prompt service with professionalism and adaptability
- Adhering to health, safety, sanitation, and operational service standards

WHAT YOU’LL GAIN

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

- Recent graduate of a hospitality/tourism program, or previous experience in hotels, restaurants, or customer service
- Passion for boutique hospitality and an interest in pursuing hotel management, General Management, or ownership
- Adaptable, hardworking, and willing to step into any task across all departments
- Strong attention to detail,



proactive problem-solving skills, and a robust sense of professionalism
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to manage dynamic daily tasks across housekeeping, operations, and service
- Smart Serve certification required
- Knowledge of the local area and/or an interest in food and beverage is beneficial

DETAILS & COMPENSATION

- Start Date: Mid to Late August 2026
- End Date: End of October 2026. Potential to extend on a part-time basis until late November 2026.
- Location: Prince Edward County, Ontario
- Status: Seasonal, Full-time Residency
- Accommodation: On-site staff accommodation is available for relocating candidates
- Rate: $20.60-$25.80 per hour based on experience (plus tips)
