Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems like Micros POS to ensure smooth seating operations.
- Answer phone inquiries politely, providing information about the restaurant, reservations, and wait times.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to communicate guest needs and special requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness in the host stand area and ensure menus are tidy and available for guests.
- Support guest service efforts by addressing guest concerns or questions with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Assist in managing guest flow during busy hours to reduce wait times and enhance overall experience.
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is highly desirable, especially in restaurant or hotel settings.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette, to interact clearly and courteously with guests and team members.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management and guest seating protocols.
- A team player who is adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn about hospitality best practices.
