HR Manager

Our client, a well-respected not-for-profit organization, is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to support its HR team during an interim assignment.

This is an excellent prospect for a well-rounded HR professional who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle and can quickly build relationships, provide practical advice, and support day-to-day HR operations in a unionized environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide advice and guidance on employee and labour relations matters, including performance management, attendance, accommodation, investigations, and progressive discipline.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
- Interpret and apply collective agreements, employment legislation, and organizational policies.
- Coordinate HR programs, policies, and workplace committee activities.
- Support compensation, benefits, HRIS, job evaluation, and employee records management.




- Partner with leaders to provide practical HR advice and improve HR processes and programs.

Qualifications

- Progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist, business partner or HR management role.
- Strong HR generalist background with expertise in talent management, recruitment, employee relations, and performance management
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Experience supporting managers and senior leaders on a broad range of HR matters
- CHRP, CHRL, CHRE, CPHR, or equivalent designation is considered an asset
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly adapt and work effectively in a changing environment
