Our practice is client focused and fast paced, with a strong emphasis on providing clear legal strategy and practical solutions for individuals navigating the Canadian immigration system.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Immigration Lawyer to join our team. This is a fully remote, full time role, open to candidates licensed and based in Canada, available immediately.

The ideal candidate is a lawyer with extensive experience in Canadian immigration law and an excellent command of English, comfortable independently advising clients and able to put nervous, often confused clients at ease by explaining complex matters clearly and simply, guiding files from consultation through to filing or resolution.

Key Focus of the Role The primary responsibility of this role is leading immigration consultations and managing client matters from start to finish.

You will meet directly with prospective clients, assess their eligibility for various immigration pathways, develop legal strategies, and oversee the preparation and filing of applications.

As the first lawyer a prospective client meets with, you set the tone for the entire relationship. How clearly you speak and carry the consultation is often what earns their trust and their business.

This role is highly client facing and best suited for a lawyer who enjoys interacting with clients, explaining legal strategies clearly, and managing a high volume of consultations in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Conduct consultations with prospective clients and provide clear legal advice on immigration options, risks, and strategies.
- Communicate fluently and professionally in English in every consultation and in all written client correspondence.
- Manage client files from consultation through to submission or resolution.
- Prepare and supervise a range of applications.




- Develop tailored legal strategies based on each client's unique circumstances.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to provide updates and manage expectations.
- Remain current on developments in Canadian immigration law and policy.

Requirements

- Must be licensed to practise law in Canada and currently based in Canada. Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- A strong command of spoken and written English is essential. You will be advising clients directly and representing the firm on every consultation, so clarity, fluency, and a confident, well spoken professional manner are core to the role.
- Extensive hands on experience practising Canadian immigration law, with a strong track record across common pathways (Express Entry, work and study permits, sponsorship, refugee and humanitarian matters).
- Strong experience conducting client consultations independently.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, client focused practice.

Compensation and Incentives

Pay

- Salary: $80,000 to $150,000 depending on experience, with performance based incentives available depending on circumstances.
