Position: Journeyman Electrician
Monday-Friday some weekends
Journeyman electrician must have 5+years experience . Must have his ticket. Must be capable of Working in all atmospheres. The Journeyman Electrician provides electrical work from simple repairs to complex installations - with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. The electrician will be adept at troubleshooting, installing and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings
Residential work and Industrial work a must.
Commercial work an asset.

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. Grounded Contracting is wanting the individual to have a strong background in residential electrical systems and maintenance work. The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including both residential electrical installations and ongoing maintenance for high-demand properties.

Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret industrial electrical,
mechanical and architectural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to determine wiring layouts Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings .Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to correct problem Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters and test lamps. Pull wire through conduits and holes in structures.
Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures. Install electrical systems and related electrical equipment, as well as replace, maintain and repair. Work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.
Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment. Install and maintain cable tray and supplemental structures. Conduct regular worksite inspections to monitor workmanship and safety compliance.
- 5+ years of electrical experience
- Journeyperson ticket electrical
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
- Strong team work and communication skills
- Punctual and reliable presence on worksites
- Present a positive, can-do attitude in the workplace and with our clients
- Instruction and leadership of apprentices
Pay: $38.00-$40.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
