Role : Information Security Specialist

Duration: Contract – 6 Months

Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist with expertise in IT Audit, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) . The role involves reviewing audit findings, validating remediation plans, assessing security controls, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Review IT audit findings and remediation plans.
- Validate security controls and risk mitigation activities.
- Conduct quality assurance and control assessments.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, Risk, and Audit teams.
- Prepare governance reports and audit documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL, NIST, COBIT, and GRC standards.

Required Skills

- 10+ years in IT Audit, IT Risk, GRC, or Information Security .
- Experience with audit remediation and control validation.
- Knowledge of ITIL, NIST, COBIT frameworks.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow, RSA Archer, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint .




- CISA certification required (CRISC/CISSP preferred).
