NOW HIRING AT RAC— BILINGUAL AUDIO PRODUCTION INSTRUCTOR

Recording Arts Canada (RAC) is looking for a bilingual audio professional to teach two courses at our Montréal campus during the Fall 2026 semester, with the possibility of renewal for the winter semester.

The courses cover the following areas:

- Studio recording techniques Mono and stereo microphone techniques Recording vocals, instruments, amplifiers and percussion Mixing and mastering Live-sound operation and equipment interconnection Wireless technology Event planning and management Performance technology and visual effects Livestreaming

RAC provides a complete teaching structure, including course outlines, presentations, practical exercises, projects, assessments and digital audio sessions. Qualifications
- A minimum of an AEC or bachelor’s degree in music production, audio engineering, sound recording, or a related field
- At least five years of professional experience in music production or a closely related area

The ideal candidate has:
- Relevant professional experience in recording, music production, mixing,



mastering or live sound Strong Pro Tools skills and knowledge of digital audio workflows A solid understanding of microphones, signal flow, equipment interconnection and live-production environments The ability to teach and communicate effectively in both French and English A agile, organized and supportive approach to working with young creators The ability to combine classroom instruction with practical demonstrations and hands-on labs

Previous experience in teaching, training or mentoring emerging professionals is considered an asset. RAC instructors work in recording studios, production labs, live-sound spaces and a certified Dolby 5.1 mixing theatre. Instructors may also develop extracurricular workshops that allow them to share their areas of expertise with students.

Compensation is determined according to professional experience, technical abilities, teaching experience and education.
